Boat Camp

We have tried the river trip for the first time in 2005. At that time we built our raft from scratch. We made it out of wood and four 50 gallon barrels. It was great but too heavy and too difficult to manage, too long to assemble and disassemble. Read and see the full story here…

Boat Camp 2008

dcp_0751.jpgWe attempted our Second boat trip in summer of 2008. The goal of this trip was to invite unbelievers, strengthen relationships with them, and to build the bridge of trust so that we can share the Gospel with them. As the result, four of them are now serving in the church, two of four are leading small group and help with the youth ministry. One guy comes to a Bible Study group.

At this time we did not make our own raft. We rented boats from a touring company. We also hired a bus to take us there and to meet us at each camping site each night. The bus carried our food, water and supplies.

There was a wedding and a baptism during the Camp!! Read and see the full story here…

Boat Camp 2009

img_7621.jpgWe did this camp as a follow-up after our English camp. We partnered with JV and they generously provided us with the boats and other equipment.

We had a Bible talk around a camp fire each night followed by a discussion in small groups. The most exiting thing was that two of the small group leaders were the guys whom we were reaching out to during our Boat Camp 2008!! Read and see the full story here…
